Coaltrain Insulation was started by Rick Johnson of Wamego in the late 80’s, offering cellulose wall and attic insulation. In 2006, spray foam was added, and it included open and closed cell foam. In 2023, Coaltrain Insulation LLC was formed, and purchased the name rights and equipment from Rick Johnson.
Coaltrain Insulation LLC has acquired strategic supply partners to update, integrate and offer the latest
technology in cellulose, closed and open cell foam and fiberglass insulation. Focusing on Energy
Efficiency and diminishing returns, Coaltrain has developed superior hybrid insulation systems that cost less and provide superior performance over traditional insulation methods. Coaltrain has extensive knowledge in HVAC, building construction, plumbing, electrical, and insulation. This knowledge base provides the highest level of insulation integration
into the building project.
